Airplane turbulence

Imagine you’re on a boat, sailing on a smooth sea. Sometimes, the boat hits small waves, causing it to bump and sway a bit.

In an airplane, turbulence is like those waves, but in the air. It happens when the plane flies through different air currents, like pockets of air moving in different directions or at different speeds. This can make the plane bump or shake a bit, but it’s usually nothing to worry about. Pilots are trained to handle turbulence, and planes are built to withstand it.

Just like the waves settle down, turbulence usually doesn’t last long. It’s a normal part of flying, and while it might feel strange at first, it’s usually nothing to be afraid of.
